WDP nominated for Entrepreneur of the Year ®

The logistics property specialist WDP, market leader in the Benelux, is one of the three finalists vying for Entrepreneur of the Year 2017 (Onderneming van het Jaar 2017). According to the organisation, it is not only numbers that play a key role in becoming a finalist. It is about companies that demonstrate a bold vision, corporate governance, internationalisation and committed teamwork.

WDP CEO, Joost Uwents: "Being a finalist for Entrepreneur of the Year is not only a reward for our company, but for the entire sector of listed property companies. Companies like WDP are no longer seen as passive funds, but as commercial enterprises," continues Joost Uwents. "The long-term thinking of our father, coupled with the humility to stay in the niche you understand is the secret behind the WDP's success," adds Tony De Pauw earlier in De Tijd.

On 17 October, a jury headed by Michèle Sioen will be choosing the successor to last year's winner, Vyncke. The award is an initiative of EY in collaboration with De Tijd and BNP Paribas Fortis. The two other nominees for Entrepreneur of the Year 2017 are Armonea and Euronav
