Business Controller Romania (M/F)

Job description

  • You are responsible for reviewing investment budget and return models and developing the controlling and internal management reporting function
  • You create a link between operations & finance with the eye on safeguarding the profitability of the business
  • You are responsible for creating and reviewing on a regular basis the yearly budget for the Romanian entity
  • You play an active role in the quarterly financial closing process within defined deadlines in which you liaise with the property appraisers and prepare the necessary audit files, in close cooperation with the consolidation & reporting team on a group level
  • You make a proactive contribution to the optimisation of business processes and ensure their implementation and follow-up
  • You work on specific controlling assignments and interact with the different teams
  • You report to the General Manager in Bucharest and also work closely with the CFO and Group Controller in Belgium


  • You have a master's qualification in an economics-related subject and (at least 3 years') relevant work experience in GL accounting and/or controlling
  • You have a perfect command of Romanian and English
  • Your work is accurate and precise and you can easily maintain an overview of complex numerical data
  • You can translate figures into information that is understandable for your internal customers
  • You have knowledge of and insight into business processes
  • You have good MS Office® skills (especially Excel), knowledge of SAP is a plus
  • You have a positive attitude to work and you are flexible
  • You are stress-resistant and can work to deadlines
