New warehouse and cross-dock supports Thijs Logistiek growth
We’re almost there, just a few more days. The grounds around the new logistics centre in Weert are being prepared for Thijs Logistiek. The family business will move into the buildings at the end of this year with a multi-year lease from logistics property developer WDP. A new distribution centre and warehouse means space no longer limits the company's growth and operation.
Cross-dock and warehouse in Weert
As of 28 April, WDP has been building a new cross-dock and warehouse for Thijs Logistiek, the specialist in fine-meshed distribution, on a plot of approximately 26,000 square metres in Weert.
- The building itself consists of 700 square metres of office space and about 5,000 square metres of distribution space.
- The warehouse will have 42 loading docks for lorries and 11 loading docks for vans and commercial vehicles.
- Finally, there is a specific ADR room where up to 4,000 pallets can be stored.

Since 1910, Thijs Logistiek has offered various distribution services in and around Weert, the gateway to the BeNeLux. For example, 24-hour distribution, fine-meshed city and regional distribution, and international shipping.
With more than 100 employees, including drivers, warehouse staff, customer service and administrative staff, the organisation delivers general cargo, spring goods, outsized goods, and hazardous substances to its customers. The pleasure of delivering goods in a sustainable and fast manner is not an exception for Thijs Logistiek.
